Second DEXA Scan
More on DEXA scANS..
We will utilise DEXA body composition information to help us determine our calorie and macronutrient objectives during our challenge.
The DEXA Scan is the gold standard in clinical fat, muscle, and bone density measurement. DEXA (Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) employs two distinct types of waves that are reflected differently by lean muscle and bone.
This information is used by the scanner to produce a thorough map of your body and to calculate your body composition. DEXA lets you know if you're on track by benchmarking and tracking changes in muscle and fat mass. It also supplies you with important health information such as bone mineral density and an estimate of visceral fat tissue.
